Fortress Appoints Yuko Umino as Head of Private Wealth Solutions for Japan and Harry Bush as Head of Private Wealth Solutions for EMEA

Fortress Investment Group today announced the appointments of Yuko Umino as Head of Private Wealth Solutions for Japan and Harry Bush as Head of Private Wealth Solutions for EMEA. Ms. Umino and Mr. Bush will lead the expansion of Fortress’s Private Wealth Solutions business into EMEA and Japan. Both will report to Adam Bobker and Nils Wilson, Global Co-Heads of Private Wealth Solutions.

Fortress launched its Private Wealth Solutions business in 2022 to formalize its offerings for individual investors. Since that time, the business has expanded to offer high-net-worth individuals a range of evergreen investment products across credit, real estate and net lease strategies.

The EMEA and Japan appointments extend the platform internationally, bringing local leadership and distribution expertise to markets where demand for access to private markets is accelerating.

Ms. Umino is based in Tokyo and joined Fortress in March 2026 from PIMCO Japan, where she was a Senior Vice President in the Japan Global Wealth Management team, focused on delivering investment solutions to wealth management clients in Japan. She brings more than 25 years of experience in Japanese financial services, having begun her career in fixed income institutional sales at J.P. Morgan Securities Japan. She holds a BA in International Economics & Politics from Aoyama Gakuin University.

Mr. Bush is based in London and joins from Nuveen, where he was most recently Head of EMEA Strategic Accounts. At Nuveen, Mr. Bush led the build-out of the company’s UK wealth business, with a focus on private markets. He previously held UK wholesale and wealth distribution roles at Allianz Global Investors and at Neptune Investment Management (now Liontrust Asset Management). He holds a BA in Management & Marketing from the University of Leeds.

“Capital flows in wealth are being reshaped by a powerful confluence of factors – a generational transfer of wealth, the increasing mobilization of household savings, pension reforms in markets across the globe, broader access to private markets products, and rapid technological advances in financial services,” said Mr. Bobker. “Yuko and Harry bring the local market knowledge and experience that we believe a credible wealth franchise depends on, and we’re excited to welcome them to our team.”

Japan and Europe are both underpenetrated markets for investment products: cash and deposits account for about half of household wealth in Japan, about 40% in Europe, and less than 10% in the USA1.

“As reforms and innovation are beginning to spur changes in how individuals invest their savings in Europe and Japan, we believe that now is a strong entry point for our business in these markets,” added Mr. Wilson. “Through Yuko’s and Harry’s dedicated leadership in Tokyo and London, we will more quickly be able to bring Fortress’s investment capabilities to wealth investors beyond our existing focus markets of the USA and Latin America.”

Products created and managed by Fortress Private Wealth Solutions and its affiliates will be distributed through agreements with leading wirehouses, private banks, registered investment advisors (“RIAs”), and independent broker/dealers.
