DALLAS, TX, UNITED STATES, August 21, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Black Heart Association, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives through cardiovascular education and screenings, is proud to host ‘Beyond the Beat: A Survivor Celebration’ on Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at NM Café, 5200 Monahans Avenue, 2nd Level, Fort Worth, Texas 76109.

This complimentary event is open to those who have survived both a heart attack and a stroke and is designed to celebrate resilience while encouraging survivors to continue prioritizing their cardiovascular health. Heart disease is the number one cause of death among the Black community. BHA continues to pursue its mission to prevent and educate the public through testing. The focus remains on empowering and healing. The Heart Café presents an intimate space for survivors to connect, share, and explore what it means to truly thrive beyond survival, including conversations around policy, advocacy, and creating healthier futures for our communities.

CEO and co-founder Tara Robinson founded BHA after she survived three heart attacks in one week before her 40th birthday. Together with her husband, Fredrick, she has grown the organization into something more than just a movement. This is a life-saving movement that continues to change and save lives, one community at a time. BHA has also completed over 10,000 screenings on its Guard Your Heart National Tour this year.

Many survivors of heart disease continue to face health challenges despite the unfortunate turn of events. The Black Heart Association believes in continued education, regular screenings, and community support wherever they go. One of their biggest goals is always to treat each community they visit as family. The organization encourages all eligible heart attack and stroke survivors to attend this free celebration and take advantage of the valuable health resources available.
