Yager will represent clients in matters including custody arrangements, divorce proceedings, and division of assets, working alongside the firm’s attorneys in Raleigh and Wilmington.
Yager earned her Juris Doctor from Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. While at Campbell, she competed on the school’s nationally recognized Mock Trial Team and served as a research assistant, contributing to a Civil Procedure treatise. She was also selected to participate in Baylor Law School’s Academy of the Advocate: School of the Appeal, a program focused on appellate advocacy skills. Before joining Marshall & Taylor PLLC, Yager completed internships with the Wake County District Attorney’s Office and the North Carolina Court of Appeals, where she worked on courtroom advocacy, legal research, and legal writing, work she has said reinforced the importance of preparation and clear communication with clients. Yager was drawn to family law because it combines courtroom advocacy with client relationships, and she has said she finds meaning in guiding clients through major life decisions, whether in litigation or long-term planning. She has also said that effective representation begins with listening, and that she aims to provide clients with practical, straightforward guidance throughout the legal process.
